Chapter 407: Chapter 407: False Accusation?
When Simon Hale walked out of the acupuncture room, several police officers had already arrived, and Owen Shaw was negotiating with them.
"I heard there was a medical accident here, and we’ve come to investigate."
"Medical accident? What medical accident, I have no idea?"
As the Young Master of Rosewell Hospital, he’s been dealing with hospital affairs recently.
But he hasn’t heard of any medical accident happening here, though there are plenty of stories.
The officers seemed puzzled by Owen Shaw’s response.
They had received a report before making a move.
But now they’re saying there is no medical accident?
What’s going on?
At this point, Simon Hale removed his mask, putting on a friendly demeanor, and began persuading them.
"Young Master Shaw, I know you want to maintain the hospital’s normal operations and certainly don’t wish such matters to be exposed. But life is at stake, how can this be handled so carelessly?"
He asked Officer Lynch to have someone keep watch because he was worried about a potential private settlement of such a medical accident.
What he needs to do now is catch July Quinn off guard and ensure she ends up in prison.
Coincidentally, a male patient was being pushed out of the acupuncture room by his son and overheard Simon Hale’s words.
"Life is at stake? Could it be..."
It seems the person who died should be the female patient from earlier.
He exchanged a glance with his son, both feeling exceedingly glad about their earlier decision.
"Dr. Hale, I have no idea what you’re talking about?"
Owen Shaw still looked bewildered.
He’s been waiting just outside the acupuncture room, unaware of any life-threatening situation.
But Simon Hale insisted, "Young Master Shaw, we’ve reached this critical juncture, and arguing won’t help. Let the police take Miss Quinn away; practicing medicine without skills will only harm others and oneself."
"Dr. Hale, are you suggesting that the female patient earlier is already..." Zachary also realized something.
Simon Hale nodded, discreetly glancing at July Quinn before continuing, "The risk factor of brain acupuncture is not ordinary. Without a solid foundation, even a slight mistake in positioning can be fatal."
Upon hearing this, Zachary and the butler’s expressions became complicated.
The officers, meanwhile, received Simon Hale’s signal and prepared to arrest July Quinn.
Owen Shaw wanted to step forward to explain the situation for July Quinn, but she pushed him aside.
"Stay back, I’ll handle this myself."
July Quinn marched directly to the police, and as they took out the handcuffs, she suddenly said, "Hold on! What if the so-called medical accident is completely groundless, and the person who reported it is just trying to ruin my reputation?"
Simon Hale met July Quinn’s amused gaze and sensed something was wrong.
Could it be that Mr. Garrison isn’t dead?
No...
He must be dead.
And he died tragically.
Otherwise, why hasn’t the crying from his daughter stopped ever since she went inside?
The officer said, "Then the person who reported it would be guilty of false accusation and incrimination, with severe circumstances punishable by three to ten years of imprisonment. Rest assured, we enforce the law impartially, we definitely won’t smear the innocent, nor will we let the guilty go unpunished."
After receiving a satisfactory response, July Quinn suddenly shouted towards the acupuncture room she had just used:
"Mr. Garrison, you should come out now. Don’t let people think I actually got rid of you."
Upon hearing this, Simon Hale’s heart raced nervously.
Is it possible Mr. Garrison isn’t dead?
But if he’s not dead, why were they crying so loudly?
Just then, to Simon Hale’s uneasy surprise, Mr. Garrison emerged slowly, laughing through tears, accompanied by his daughter!
