"How do we get in?"
Linglong had changed into a stealth suit and was carrying a lot of equipment.
"Follow me."
Ning Beichen led Linglong around to the back of the Shenzong Pavilion.
Behind it was a fifteen-meter-high vertical wall, topped with high-voltage guardrails. Normally, climbing over it would be nearly impossible.
However, for Grandmaster Ning, this was no problem.
With a surge of power, Ning Beichen leaped, his feet lightly touching the wall a few times before he reached the top.
Then, he tossed something.
A piece of insulated beast hide was draped over the high-voltage guardrail. He landed on it lightly and then, with a flick of his wrist, a rope dropped in front of Linglong.
Linglong tied the rope to the backpack on her back, then pressed a switch on the backpack. A surge of power from the backpack propelled her upwards, and she was at the top of the wall in an instant.
Ning Beichen embraced her and, like birds, they gently landed on the ground.
Linglong quickly reeled in the rope. The two of them crouched behind a row of greenery, and after the patrol personnel had passed, they immediately bent down and moved forward through the bushes.
Before long, they had evaded several patrols and hidden in a safe spot.
Linglong took out a dragonfly-sized artificial intelligence bio-robot from her backpack.
Linglong activated the bio-robot dragonfly. It flew up, observing the positions of the patrol personnel in the garden and the dangerous areas, transmitting the footage back to Linglong's phone.
"There are three teams patrolling ahead, and their patrol routes overlap with very little time in between, estimated to be no more than three minutes. If we want to pass through this area without alerting them, we'll have to cover about twenty meters of ground in under a minute. Do you have confidence?"
Linglong whispered to Ning Beichen.
Ning Beichen gave her an OK sign, and Linglong began to observe the patrol personnel's positions through the vision of the bio-intelligent dragonfly.
"Now."
As soon as Linglong's words fell, she felt as if she were flying, with the sound of wind rushing past her ears.
In less than a minute, perhaps just a little over twenty seconds, she and Ning Beichen had traversed twenty meters of ground and appeared in the next safe location.
Linglong was still a bit dazed. She hadn't held out much hope and had even prepared for a fight. To her surprise, before she could react, Ning Beichen had already accomplished it.
And crucially, he hadn't just gone alone; he had brought her with him.
According to Linglong's initial plan, Ning Beichen would go first, and then she would find a way to follow. She never expected Ning Beichen to be so bold as to bring her along without alerting the guards.
This operation had great potential!
Linglong was very excited.
"Shenzong Pavilion's treasury, here I come, Linglong."
"Don't celebrate too early. Nothing is certain yet. This place is bigger than the White House, and we're still on the outermost periphery."
Ning Beichen poured cold water on her excitement, dousing her enthusiasm.
Following this, they continued to advance stealthily, utilizing the vision provided by the bio-dragonfly. After spending more than half an hour, they finally approached a building.
Then it was Linglong's turn to perform. She easily located the sewer entrance to Shenzong Pavilion, and they quickly reached the building housing the treasury through the sewers.
However, when they saw a thick concrete wall, at least several meters deep, they were both speechless.
Such a thick wall couldn't be blown open even with TNT, let alone without it. And even if they had TNT, they couldn't use it.
"It seems the Shenzong Pavilion treasury is built underground. We can't get in from the outside," Linglong said softly.
"Then we'll go in from the front."
Ning Beichen said without hesitation.
Sneaking in through the sewers had a very low chance of success to begin with, so Ning Beichen wasn't too disappointed. Now it was just a matter of returning to the main plan.
"I observed with the bio-dragonfly just now. There are at least ten guards at the main entrance, and that's just at the door. We don't know how many are inside, and there are many surveillance cameras around. Without alerting them, our success rate of entering is infinitely close to zero," Linglong said, frowning, appearing somewhat lacking in confidence.
"That's expected. If the Shenzong Pavilion treasury were that easy to steal, it would have been emptied long ago."
Ning Beichen was not surprised at all. He had already prepared for all sorts of contingencies before coming.
"Then what do you plan to do?" Linglong asked.
"Force our way in."
At this point, Ning Beichen didn't want to hide it from her anymore.
The chance of a stealthy infiltration was very low. Otherwise, Shenzong Pavilion would have been raided countless times by now.
"Are you sure?" Linglong seemed a bit flustered.
"Ning Beichen, don't do anything reckless. No matter how good a treasure is, it's only a treasure if you can live to spend it. If it doesn't work out, let's retreat."
"There's no need to worry so much. Listen to me, I won't harm you."
Ning Beichen was full of confidence.
With his cultivation as a Grandmaster, there was no patrol guard who could stop him. Ning Beichen was more concerned about those hiding in the shadows.
"I'm not married yet," Linglong said, blinking her eyes at Ning Beichen.
"It's not that serious," Ning Beichen said with a smile, trying to comfort her.
Linglong's expression flickered. Suddenly, she gritted her teeth and said, "Let's go for it. But before I die, I'll collect some interest."
Then, she aggressively pushed Ning Beichen's face and kissed him on the mouth, leaving Ning Beichen in a state of amused helplessness.
"Now you're my man. If I don't make it out, all my artworks will be left to you." Linglong waved her arms fiercely.
"If you get out alive, will you give them back to me?" Ning Beichen asked with a chuckle, not disliking the surprise kiss.
"You wish," Linglong gave him a sidelong glance, exuding a captivating charm.
Next, the two began their serious business.
Ning Beichen approached the entrance and, with a flick of his wrist, a handful of flying needles shot towards the patrol personnel.
These flying needles were silent and instantly killed the ten bodyguards guarding the entrance. A few survivors who weren't dead yet were also dealt with by Ning Beichen.
Then, Ning Beichen punched the surveillance cameras a few times, shattering them, and rushed in with Linglong.
They were no longer planning to be stealthy, and they couldn't be. The killing of the entrance guards wouldn't remain hidden for long; at most, three minutes would pass before people inside and outside would discover what happened.
Linglong, holding a pistol with a silencer, followed behind Ning Beichen.
When she saw patrol personnel falling one after another under his flying needles, she was dumbfounded, feeling that her silenced pistol was somewhat redundant.
