Chapter 282 Show Mercy

With a bang!

A Qi flew backward, his body slamming hard against a wall in the hall with a loud thud.

Following that, the wall let out a crisp "crack."

The thick blue brick wall had actually developed a crack.

This sudden turn of events not only caught A Qi off guard but also Han Xin and the others.

"A Qi!"

Several people around Han Xin rushed over to pull A Qi out of the wall. He wasn't dead, but he was worse off than dead. Apart from still breathing, he was practically no different from a corpse.

Ning Beichen had dealt such a heavy blow to A Qi not to intimidate Han Xin, but purely because he had heard from his subordinates that this fellow named A Qi was among those who had injured his men.

Therefore, Ning Beichen not killing him on the spot was already an act of leniency.

Han Xin had not expected this either. His eyes, filled with murderous intent, were fixed on Ning Beichen, his gaze as if he were looking at a dead man.

"You're seeking death!"

Chong Beichuan, who had been disciplined by Ning Beichen before, roared, the sound vibrating the hall.

A Qi was his closest friend. Seeing A Qi barely clinging to life, Chong Beichuan's rage ignited. Without a second thought, he charged at Ning Beichen, determined to make him pay with blood.

Ning Beichen, however, was too lazy to speak. Seeing him charge, he didn't say a word and unleashed a punch at him.

A cold wind swept through the hall, like a tempest pouring in, causing everyone's clothes to flap wildly and making it impossible to open their eyes.

But they didn't experience what Chong Beichuan was feeling at that moment.

His eyes no longer held any trace of anger, only fear, absolute fear.

While A Qi had only felt unable to move, his own sensation was even more severe. Not only could he not move, but he felt as if his body were cracking apart.

Pleading!

Chong Beichuan's eyes pleaded for mercy, looking at Ning Beichen pitifully.

He didn't want to die, but he felt the presence of death.

He had never been so afraid, so panicked, and so helpless.

He couldn't even comprehend why a person's fist could be so terrifying.

Unfortunately, Ning Beichen had no intention of letting him go.

He had merely given him a minor lesson outside earlier. If Chong Beichuan hadn't intervened, if he had just stood by and watched coldly, perhaps Ning Beichen would have spared his miserable life.

But he hadn't cherished it.

He thought that Ning Beichen had ambushed him outside, that he had been careless, and that Ning Beichen's victory was dishonorable.

With a boom!

The storm exploded outwards. A hawk-nosed old man in his fifties took a step forward, blocking in front of Han Xin. His pupils also revealed an expression of shock.

Things in the hall clattered loudly, paper and debris flew everywhere, and even the glass in the windows developed cracks resembling a spiderweb.

Chong Beichuan looked at Ning Beichen, his throat working a few times before he fell, unresigned.

"Mercy!"

A voice pierced through the hall, coming from the old man protecting Han Xin.

Unfortunately, it was too late. A Qi, at least, had still had a breath left.

But Chong Beichuan didn't even have a breath left. As he fell, he had already breathed his last!

"Kid, you have cruel methods."

The old man, seeing the deceased Chong Beichuan, first displayed an expression of disbelief, which then turned into extreme anger.

"Cruel? When you injured my men, why didn't you come out and say it was cruel?"

Ning Beichen's eyes, cold as ice, fixed on him as he spoke.

"Kill him… Kill him, Elder Ye, kill him for me. I want him torn limb from limb!"

Han Xin was both shocked and terrified. He had previously thought Ning Beichen was just an ignorant young brat, and had viewed him as an ant he could crush at any moment.

Therefore, his mindset was that of a spectator, and no matter how Ning Beichen struggled, he merely saw it as a joke.

But this was no longer a spectator's game. Ning Beichen had overturned the entire stage. He wasn't an ant, but a fierce tiger.

Even so, Han Xin wasn't overly afraid, as he believed in Pei Xiangyuan's strength.

And Pei Xiangyuan was the old man blocking in front of him, a super expert left to him by his deceased father, and incredibly loyal.

He had personally witnessed Pei Xiangyuan's prowess; bullets couldn't hit him, and a hundred men surrounding him were no match.

This was also why Han Xin had been able to dominate the western district for so many years without falling.

"Young you are, yet your cultivation is profound. You must not be an unknown person. Kid, who is your master?"

Pei Xiangyuan's eyes, like a viper's, fixed on Ning Beichen as he asked.

"None of your damn business!"

Ning Beichen rolled his eyes at him, showing no respect.

"Arrogant!"

"With a little ability, you dare to be so overbearing and ignorant. I shall discipline you on behalf of your elders!"

Pei Xiangyuan roared, the sound waves rolling towards Ning Beichen.

The reason he asked was his concern about Ning Beichen having a strong background.

But this kid was simply too arrogant. If he didn't discipline him, it seemed impossible to extract information about his background.

"Noisy!"

Ning Beichen responded with a similar wave of sound.

The two sound waves collided in the hall, their power not unlike a bomb exploding, causing the already cracked glass to shatter into pieces in an instant.

With a series of crackling sounds, those in the hall, affected by the impact of the two sound waves, felt a sweetness in their throats, and several people vomited blood.

Pei Xiangyuan's pupils contracted. He hadn't expected Ning Beichen's sound wave to be able to block his own, which surprised him greatly.

He was of a certain age, and this young man before him was so young.

In terms of experience or cultivation, he shouldn't be comparable to this young man.

Yet, the other party could actually block his sound wave attack.

This made Pei Xiangyuan even more convinced that Ning Beichen must have an extremely deep background. He just didn't know which lineage he belonged to, to be so outstanding.

Wealth in cultivation, poverty in martial arts, was not just a saying; it required substantial financial backing.

Especially in this era, practicing martial arts and cultivation required immense wealth to support, and very few could cultivate to Pei Xiangyuan's current level.

However, despite his surprise, Pei Xiangyuan didn't truly take Ning Beichen seriously.

Even if Ning Beichen had started practicing martial arts from the womb, his cultivation couldn't possibly be more profound than his own. This kid's ability to block his sound wave attack was likely due to practicing a good sound wave technique.

What is a sound wave attack?

It wasn't just a random shout.

It was a secret technique that required internal energy or skill to unleash.

For example, techniques like Lion's Roar, Dragon's Roar, Elephant's Roar, Esoteric Buddhist Chants, Plucking Sword, Zither Sound, Demonic Sound... and so on.
