Gui Jia's Second Young Master

Chapter 76 The Ultimate Tsunami of Death

I felt a stream of stimulating current flowing across my back. Stiffly, I turned my head and discovered a wire had fallen onto my shoulder at some point. Xiao Yuan De ignored it and directly ripped the wire off with his bare hands. I temporarily broke free and rescued the hostages one by one.

Xiao Yuan De helped throughout. I asked him, "How did you know that mechanism could cut off the power?"

"That place was originally a circuit breaker, but it was covered by the fish tank. I studied similar electrical principles before, so I recognized it at a glance."

"Then why weren't you electrocuted?"

"Haha, Detective He, can't you deduce it yourself?"

I looked at his shoes and only then noticed that his footwear was different from ours. They were a type of black asbestos shoe designed for electrical resistance. The surrounding material was likely quite pure, so when the current passed, he was completely unharmed.

It was the first time I had ever been stumped by someone. I patted Xiao Yuan De forcefully, wishing that Director Zhang would give this man to me.

After saving the hostages, we intended to escape. However, as we turned, we heard fierce roars from outside the aquarium. We discovered a large number of jackals running in!

These creatures must have come from the hunting grounds. They had found their way here. Judging by their starved appearance, they were likely agitated by Du Qi Tai.

We became vigilant, and the tourists hid behind us.

Xiao Yuan De, however, charged out without hesitation. At that moment, he resembled a ferocious Siberian tiger. He grabbed several jackals with his bare hands, aimed at their foreheads, and violently slammed his own forehead into theirs!

The jackals in Xiao Yuan De's hands were like chicks, completely defenseless. After he smashed them to death, he swept his leg, kicking several jackals away. Then, he grabbed a hesitant jackal and slammed his knee into it!

There were several cracking sounds from the jackal's body, likely its bones shattering. It let out a scream and was tossed away by Xiao Yuan De as if he were discarding trash.

Then, several more jackals desperately leaped onto his shoulders. But with a casual shake, he unbalanced them. He then extended his eagle-claw-like arms, quickly grabbing the necks of those jackals and breaking them in front of us with his bare hands!

The remaining jackals dared not advance. They fearfully turned to flee, but Xiao Yuan De didn't seem to intend to let them go. He picked up several dying jackals from the ground and threw them at the fleeing ones, directly smashing them to death!

I swallowed, "Holy crap! That's some serious strength to throw jackals to their deaths..."

Xiao Yuan De was truly a formidable warrior. If I could get him to join us, it would be like adding wings to a tiger.

Seeing his unyielding courage, my resolve to recruit him only strengthened.

Not only I, but everyone present was stunned. Even Gao Ming Qiang, who usually considered himself highly skilled in combat, was no match for Xiao Yuan De, like comparing a chopstick to an airplane.

He Xin couldn't help but say, "Uncle, you're amazing. You took care of them all by yourself?"

"What's there to it? When I was a special forces soldier, I even fought lions and tigers with my bare hands!"

Xiao Yuan De dusted off his hands. Seeing our bewildered expressions, he quickly turned and said, "What are you fools still standing around for? Come on!"

We finally reacted and led the hostages out. We had already escaped the aquarium and the pavilion, returning to the center of the tourist area. I had no idea where Du Qi Tai had gone. He hadn't said a word when he saw us escaping.

I wondered if he had realized something and fled.

We searched everywhere, eventually returning to the hotel where we had been staying. But no one was there. We discovered Xiao Hong tied up in front of the counter.

Seeing us arrive, she shouted desperately. I immediately walked over and, seeing the white cloth over her mouth, pulled it down directly.

As soon as she could speak, she blurted out, "You guys need to leave here quickly, the tourist area is about to sink!"

"What?" We were all astonished.

"The water is rising. Boss Du escaped. He pressed the emergency controller, and the water level will keep rising. All the buildings here will be submerged, and eventually, the entire tourist area will be flooded!"

Just as Xiao Hong finished speaking, I heard a knocking sound from a room not far from her. Xiao Yuan De immediately walked over and opened the door, finding Granny Huang inside.

We rescued Granny Huang, and she cried, "So that's what the boss is like. We really followed the wrong person. You police officers must save us!"

"Don't worry, everyone will be alright!" I reassured her. As we were about to leave the hotel, the surrounding water was surging in, already covering the courtyard outside the hotel. Our knees were submerged.

It seemed the water was rising faster than we had imagined.

What should we do? I watched the water level rise and estimated that in half an hour, this place would be flooded. Fortunately, we had already filmed a lot of evidence of crimes in the tourist area. If we could arrest Du Qi Tai, this case would be solved.

I rushed out of the hotel, wading through the water to a nearby cinema. This building had already been battered by the water. I noticed many waves surging in near the wall not far away!

The water level underfoot was also rising. The sky inexplicably began to snow cold snowflakes. The dark night sky was filled with the aura of death. Seawater crashed onto several tourists, and they were swept away by the merciless ocean.

Xiao Yuan De, however, jumped into the water and swam vigorously, rescuing several people. But one was still swept away.

We fled desperately towards the higher ground of the tourist area. I said, "There's a mountain path here. Everyone try to head towards higher altitudes, follow me!"

We ran along the mountain path. Behind us, countless water columns slammed into us. Within minutes, everyone's clothes were soaked. Looking at the summit, it seemed like a vast grassland had appeared.

As we ran for a long time, our legs felt numb. But no one dared to stop, running for their lives until we reached the center of the summit. The seawater had already surged up. I personally witnessed the entire tourist area sink into the vast ocean, and the ground we could stand on was shrinking!
