Chapter 22 The Hidden Supply Depot

Chang Kaitong followed Luo Luo around hesitantly.

An Nuan frowned and muttered, "Sandwich with plain boiled water? What a strange combination. Drink soy milk with me."

Chang Kaitong saw the red date flavored soy milk. It was cold and sweet, but it warmed his heart!

An Nuan pushed a tray to Chang Kaitong.

He was not yet 18 and still growing.

An Nuan gave him a larger portion. She and Luo Luo ate less, and An Nuan's appetite wasn't great in the morning, so the two of them could share one.

After officially becoming a mutant yesterday, all three of them felt much better mentally.

An Nuan used to need seven to eight hours of sleep to feel awake, but now three hours was enough.

She didn't feel tired even after killing so many zombies last night.

Luo Luo turned on the TV, and the news was reporting rescue efforts in various locations and the deployment of armed forces.

Luo Luo said, "The armed forces have been deployed. It seems riots have broken out in some places."

"Yes, I saw many people leaving in rubber boats to loot when I came back. Fortunately, the third ring road is on the bridge, so I didn't go through any flooded areas."

An Nuan listened to the news for ten minutes but heard nothing about mutants and zombies.

It seemed they were suppressing the information to avoid panic.

The deployment of armed forces was partly to maintain order and partly to deal with zombies and mutants.

Although An Nuan understood the correctness of this action, she also knew it was futile.

A storm was coming, a hurricane-like storm that would last for a week in the city.

Water and electricity would be cut off completely very soon.

An Nuan remembered she hadn't paid the water and electricity bills this month.

She suddenly felt like she had gotten a small advantage.

"Sister Luo Luo, look at the TV! So many people are looting!"

Children around ten years old pushed adults into the water.

Elderly people hit children with their walking sticks, and adults broke windows to rob.

Anything they could get their hands on, no matter what, was being fiercely looted.

"The water hasn't even receded yet, and they're already looting supplies. What will happen next!"

Luo Luo was eating a sandwich. Although she hadn't gone hungry recently, she now felt that the food in her hands was precious.

She wouldn't trade it for any gift bag!

She also knew that the current stability was all thanks to An Nuan.

Luo Luo smiled sweetly at her, "Little Nuan, thank you! I was wrong to scold you before about Mo Shu!"

"You were right to scold me. My mind was not clear."

"It's a shame Mo Shu didn't die in Anxin Building. He's really tough!"

"He's not dead?"

Luo Luo nodded. "I hacked into the surveillance of the building opposite the complex and saw a helicopter go up. Mo Shu, An Dong, and An Tianxin were on board."

Xie Xinxin wasn't on the plane?

An Nuan found it strange.

As insane as An Dong might be, he wouldn't abandon his wife unless absolutely necessary.

An Dong hadn't abandoned his wife during several dangerous encounters in the apocalypse.

This time, it was only ten minutes to one death. An Dong should have realized after a moment of calm that she had already left the building.

The end of the battle royale game depended entirely on when they realized this.

Mo Shu was not An Dong's close relative, and he was lame. He was a complete burden, yet he managed to survive and get on the helicopter with An Dong.

There was something fishy going on here!

An Nuan drank her soy milk and thought for a long time but couldn't figure out the trick.

She decided not to think about it and hummed a little tune while opening cans for the two cats.

An Dong arrived at the new house and immediately took several gulps from a bottle of wine.

He glared at Mo Shu. "You little brat, you're ruthless! You even dared to kill my wife!"

"I was only defending myself, Uncle. Please don't blame me."

"Bastard, you killed my mother! You killed my mother!"

An Tianxin, who had been in a daze until now, finally came to her senses. The scene of Mo Shu killing her mother flashed before her eyes.

An Tianxin rushed forward and grabbed his hair, tearing at it.

Mo Shu didn't spare her either. He picked up An Tianxin and threw her onto the sofa.

"Stop acting crazy! She was scratched by a zombie! That thing is contagious, and your mother will turn into a zombie and kill you!"

An Tianxin trembled with fear and burst into tears.

An Dong shouted impatiently, "Stop crying! The most important thing now is to get our hands on supplies."

"Are we going to rob our cousin?"

"Difficult."

An Dong had witnessed An Nuan's combat effectiveness.

That little slut had become so powerful, possibly even more ruthless than these mercenaries.

He couldn't take the risk.

However, their supplies were running low, and he couldn't just wait to die.

"Old Tao."

"Mr. An."

The mercenary leader walked over. "What are your orders?"

"Find a few supermarkets or malls, and some wealthy households, and seize their supplies. You'll get two-tenths of the haul afterward."

"Alright!"

Old Tao immediately led four or five of his men out.

An Tianxin asked, "Dad, how can you trust them? What if they turn on us after they've grabbed the goods?"

"Old Tao almost lost his life for a crime when he was young, and I saved him. Besides, they need money and equipment, and only I can provide it to them."

An Dong wasn't worried about Old Tao turning on him.

If it really happened, he would take the goods by force himself.

An Dong took a couple of sips of wine and said, "Kid, say what you said on the helicopter again."

"What did I say?"

"An Nuan's necklace."

"Oh, it's the necklace she always wears. It used to be as beautiful as jade, with three lustrous and shining beads. But now the color seems different; one bead has become very dark and rough."

An Dong narrowed his eyes, thinking of the necklace.

He used to think it wasn't a valuable item, so he didn't ask his wife for it.

But every time he mentioned the necklace, his wife would get very angry and tell him to get lost, forbidding him from coveting the necklace.

Could it be that the thing was actually a treasure?

An Tianxin was still immersed in the grief of losing her mother.

She didn't care about the problem with the damn bead. All she knew was that her mother was gone, and it was all An Nuan's fault!

"Dad, let's go over there now and kill that little slut!"

"Why the rush? There are plenty of ways to deal with her!"

An Dong didn't know An Nuan's exact address, but he knew which residential complex it was.

He immediately leaked the information that An Nuan had supplies online.

An Dong was smug, waiting for the refugees to deal with An Nuan.

He didn't expect that the moment the message was sent, it was intercepted by Fu Yunlei.

"Brother, this scumbag is about to expose that my sister-in-law has supplies. What should we do?"

"Do I need to teach you this?"

"Heh heh, I knew you'd say that."

Fu Yunlei changed the address in the message and forwarded it to various platforms.

Fu Yunting was soaking in the bathtub. The water in the five-meter bathtub was boiling, bubbling continuously.

There were already several crushed zombie heads in the bathroom.

Fu Yunlei complained, "Brother, if you're going to eat, eat it all. Why are you only picking the good parts? Being a picky eater is not good!"
