"I'm sorry, because a few seats on the plane have been requisitioned temporarily, please trouble yourself to come down with me. We will offer you a free change to another flight."
As the three of them boarded the plane and fastened their seatbelts, a corpulent flight attendant in her forties, shaking her ample hips, walked directly towards Tang Long.
Logically, such a situation should have been handled with utmost politeness and apology, but this woman was different. Her attitude was arrogant, her tone condescending, and her expression clearly conveyed that she was there to inform him, to tell him to get lost quickly, and that they would change his flight for free.
What did that mean?
Tang Long glanced at Bill Duffy and Jonas beside him, clearly taken aback.
He hadn't misheard; a few seats were requisitioned. By that logic, the three of them in this row should have all been requisitioned, but that clearly wasn't the case. They had only requisitioned his seat.
Besides, what was the point of this woman emphasizing a free flight change? Were they going to charge him to change flights just because they were inconveniencing him by asking him to get off the plane?
This f***ing...
"I'm asking you a question, why aren't you speaking?"
"This is America. Please don't shout. It's people like you who tarnish our country's reputation."
The international student started talking about etiquette.
As they spoke, airport security rushed onto the plane. A few burly foreigners boarded, and the flight attendant immediately beckoned triumphantly, "Here, this is the guy causing trouble. Arrest him."
"Arrest me? On what grounds?"
Tang Long stood up at this moment. His tall stature immediately made him stand out from the crowd.
"Oh my god."
"Who do I see?"
"It's so lucky, I'm on the same flight as Tang."
"I have to take a picture for my good friend so he'll be envious."
"Tang, can I have a photo with you?"
At this moment, a flurry of exclamations erupted from the plane as many recognized Tang Long and screamed.
The approaching security guards thought there was a disturbance and, seeing everyone looking at Tang Long, rushed forward to make a move.
These guys were no match for Tang Long. He pinned one down while holding another, effectively blocking the aisle.
"Get on the ground, or we'll shoot!"
The security guards behind them reached for their weapons, preparing to act.
"No."
The captain's voice boomed from the doorway.
"What's going on?" the captain glared at the security guards. "Don't you know who he is? All of you, get out of here."
The captain's forehead was covered in cold sweat.
It was only then that the airline personnel recognized that this tall man wasn't Tang, who had just won the NBA championship!
"Sir, I apologize for the rudeness of these individuals."
"I accept your apology, but I do not accept theirs."
Tang Long nodded at the captain. "Captain, I still need an explanation. Why are the people being asked to give up their seats not Americans? You are discriminating. If you cannot give me a reasonable explanation, I will complain to your company and tell my fans what an arrogant airline you are."
"This..."
The captain was stunned.
Which idiot had kicked a superstar like Tang Long off the plane?
This was a complete disaster.
