Rustic Village Husband

Chapter 100 - 99: One Night

After she spoke, Fu Ya lowered her head toward Liu Ergou. Knowing exactly what she intended, he readily met her, lifting his own head as their lips pressed together. The battle between them grew intense, a fierce back-and-forth where neither was willing to concede.

In just a few minutes, a heavy rain began to fall outside. The downpour was ferocious; raindrops hammered the ground, kicking up one splash after another in a continuous, unrelenting torrent. The rain fell harder and harder until it became a torrential storm, blotting out the entire sky. Lightning flashed incessantly, accompanied by colossal booms of thunder. If not for the room's excellent soundproofing, the rest of the household would have surely been roused by the racket.

This was Fu Ya's first time being so intimate with a man. She had always been repulsed by men, but that changed after Liu Ergou saved her life. Fu Ya found herself drawn to him, and from that moment on, she fell deeper and deeper, hopelessly entangled and unable to pull away.

The heavy rain continued well into the night before finally subsiding. By then, Fu Ya was curled up in Liu Ergou's arms like a kitten, her face flushed and glowing with satisfaction.

She looked at Liu Ergou and said coquettishly, "I never expected this, little brother Ergou. You're so formidable! This sister of yours really underestimated you! If I hadn't come prepared, you would have already crushed me completely!"

Hearing her words, Liu Ergou chuckled. "Sister Fu Ya, we were just getting started. I was only holding back because I was afraid you couldn't handle it, otherwise…" He trailed off, his meaning perfectly clear.

To Fu Ya, his words sounded like a challenge. The remark instantly revived the exhausted woman, who struggled up from his embrace and put on a brave front.

"Hmph, you can stop boasting. I'd like to see how long you can really last. You must be at the end of your rope by now!" With that, Fu Ya lunged at him once more.

This time, they didn't stop until the sun was just beginning to rise.

Now, Fu Ya was like a puddle of melted wax, lying limp and motionless on the bed. Her hazy eyes were fixed on the ceiling, her mind lost in thought. Liu Ergou, on the other hand, looked as energetic and spirited as ever, as if nothing had happened at all. His condition filled Fu Ya with a sudden sense of helplessness. Liu Ergou is just too powerful.

After a long while, the boneless Fu Ya finally began to recover. "Er… Ergou… little brother…" she stammered. "I was wrong. I shouldn't have provoked you! How can you be so incredible!"

With that, she grabbed Liu Ergou's face, planted a firm kiss on his lips, and then, steadying herself against the wall, picked up her clothes and hobbled toward her room. The distance from the bed to the door was only two or three meters, but it took Fu Ya nearly twenty minutes to cross it.

The sight made Liu Ergou's heart race with anxiety. At the speed she's moving, it'll be a miracle if no one sees her. He was just about to get up and help her, but when Fu Ya saw him move, she thought he was coming after her again. Disregarding her sore, weak body, she bolted and vanished in a flash.

Liu Ergou could only shake his head with a helpless sigh. Watching her disappear, he considered getting some sleep, but the sight of the rising sun reminded him that he needed to cultivate his Body Refining Art. He abandoned the idea of sleeping and began his practice.

An hour later, he finished his cultivation. He was full of vitality, showing no signs of having been awake all night. He checked the time and saw it was only 7 a.m. The villa was completely silent. He knew Fu Yan wasn't up yet, so he would have to wait a little longer.

About half an hour later, Fu Yan's voice drifted up from downstairs. "Yuehong, go call Ergou down for breakfast!"

"Mm," Zhang Yuehong replied softly.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on Liu Ergou's door. Before Zhang Yuehong could speak, Liu Ergou opened it, walked right past her without a word, and headed downstairs.

Seeing herself ignored, Zhang Yuehong scowled. "Hmph," she muttered under her breath. "A country bumpkin who doesn't even know basic manners. He can't even manage a simple hello!" Fuming, she followed him down to the dining room.

Soon, the four of them were seated at the table. Fu Yan, at the head, personally stood to serve Liu Ergou a bowl of congee. Then he asked with a warm smile, "Ergou, did you rest well last night? I hope you didn't have trouble sleeping in a new place."

When Fu Yan asked this, Liu Ergou couldn't help but recall his wild night with Fu Ya. The memory left him completely distracted, and he stared off into space for a long moment without responding.

Zhang Yuehong saw Liu Ergou staring blankly and snorted in disdain. "So rude. He just zones out when you speak to him instead of replying. I take it back—he's not just a country bumpkin. It would be more accurate to call him a complete moron!"
