Chapter 51 The Undead

"I saw a strange person get on the train," said the middle-aged man.

"Where?" the train attendant asked suspiciously.

"He went straight into the restroom after getting on, I don't know what he's doing in there, it's very strange," the middle-aged man said, looking uncertainly at the restroom.

"Really, he's been in there for a long time," a woman in a nearby seat chimed in.

Seeing someone agree with the middle-aged man, the attendant knew he wasn't lying and quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry, I'll go check right away."

"Okay, okay." The middle-aged man nodded.

The attendant then walked with the middle-aged man towards the compartment with the restroom.

Ling Feng stared intently at the middle-aged man, a cold glint in his eyes. He recognized this person as Jin Changwu, the selfish, cunning, and cowardly bus operations manager from the movie's plot.

He was considered the biggest villain in the movie, aside from the zombies, and many people had died because of him.

Ling Feng had been so angry watching the movie at the time.

"Big brother, could you please move aside?"

While Ling Feng was watching Jin Changwu, Xiu An had appeared at the aisle. Because Ling Feng's head was blocking her way, and she was afraid of waking her father, she spoke softly.

"Ah, sorry." Ling Feng realized his actions were causing inconvenience and quickly retracted his head.

"Thank you."

Xiu An was very polite. Seeing that Ling Feng had moved, she thanked him and walked forward.

After Xiu An left, Ling Feng turned his gaze back to the compartment. If he remembered correctly, the person in the restroom was the homeless man who had bought Xiu An and the others time to escape, only to be overwhelmed by zombies.

Currently, he was the only one on the train who knew about the existence of zombies.

Later, Jin Changwu returned to carriage number three. Xiu An, feeling the urge to use the restroom, left the compartment and went to carriage number four. Before leaving, Xiu An took a deep look at the homeless man.

The attendant remained to continue talking with the homeless man.

Ling Feng watched Xiu An walk slowly towards carriage number four. He didn't get up to follow her. Xiu An's luck was considered the best among the main characters, so there was no need to worry. If he followed her and caused the plot to change drastically, the loss would outweigh the gain.

Besides Xiu An, the person Ling Feng was most concerned about was Shang Hua, who was guarding the restroom door in carriage number four. He was the strongest fighter of the original main characters!

His strength was probably comparable to that of a national weightlifting athlete.

And inside the restroom was his wife, Seong Kyung, one of the last survivors in Train to Busan.

Just then, a mobile phone ringtone sounded. Ling Feng looked and saw that it was Seok Woo's call. He immediately pretended to be asleep and began to strategize what to do, as he recalled that the plot was about to begin.

When Seok Woo heard his phone ring, he slowly woke up, took out his phone, and answered. Then, tense voices came from the other end of the line.

Seok Woo exchanged a few words with the person on the other end. A train attendant manager hurried past the aisle between Ling Feng and Seok Woo, holding a walkie-talkie and communicating with someone.

Ling Feng heard the content of the conversation: "But she's convulsing very severely."

With just this sentence, Ling Feng knew that the infected person in carriage number eleven was about to mutate into a zombie. He immediately became vigilant and prepared for battle.

Seok Woo got up and walked towards carriage number four. It was expected that he had discovered his daughter was missing and was going to look for her.

Ling Feng approached the doorknob. He mentally connected to his space, ready to draw his sword at any moment. Since Jian Li Long Yin was too special, Ling Feng decided to use Wu Feng Jian. Although it was called Wu Feng Jian, it was also sharpened.

In addition, Ling Feng had prepared a cleaver as a backup in case his space was too small to maneuver.

This was a cleaver made in Liyue, and its sharpness and hardness far surpassed ordinary blades.

He was guarding the door so that if anything unexpected happened, he could rescue Seok Woo and the others in time.

To learn how to kill, Ling Feng had practiced killing chickens and pigeons in the past few days. He had also killed people before, although he had used a "Fearless Card" at the time, he still remembered the feeling of killing. Killing zombies shouldn't be much of a problem.

Not long after, Ling Feng saw that there was chaos in other carriages, and many people were running towards their carriage in a panic.

"It's starting," Ling Feng's eyes narrowed, his muscles tensed, preparing for battle.

As time passed, fewer and fewer people were running. With Ling Feng's current eyesight, he could vaguely see the figures of zombies surging in carriage number five.

"Run!"

"Run! There are monsters!"

People were shouting and running past him, which undoubtedly put mental pressure on Ling Feng.

When he saw Seok Woo running towards them, holding Xiu An, Ling Feng knew it was time to act. He opened the safety latch of the door, ready to close it once Shang Hua and Seong Kyung ran over.

"Quick, quickly close the door!!!" As soon as Seok Woo and the others entered carriage number three, Jin Changwu, among the crowd, shouted.

"Right! Close the door quickly!"

"Close the door!"

When it came to closing the door, the already panicked crowd also echoed in unison, shouting "Close the door!"

No one wanted to be bitten to death by monsters.

But Ling Feng seemed not to hear them. He remained unmoved because Shang Hua and the others hadn't entered yet, so he couldn't close the door!

"Brat! What are you doing! Hurry up and close the door!" Jin Changwu, seeing the horde of corpses getting closer, was extremely anxious and roared at Ling Feng, who was holding onto the door frame.

Ling Feng ignored him and the curses from the crowd, his eyes fixed on Shang Hua and the two who were running. He shouted, "Hurry up!"

Seeing that Ling Feng was not closing the door, Seok Woo rushed forward and placed his hand on the door frame, trying to close the door.

But how could Ling Feng's strength be resisted by an ordinary person like Seok Woo? No matter how hard Seok Woo tried, the door wouldn't budge.

Seok Woo was surprised that Ling Feng, who looked seventeen or eighteen years old, had such great strength. But looking at the tide of corpses continuously surging towards them like seawater, Seok Woo couldn't help but shout, "What are you doing! The monsters are almost here, hurry up and close the door!"

"There are still people who haven't come in! I can't close the door!" Ling Feng stood at the door precisely to ensure that Shang Hua and Seong Kyung, two key members of the main characters, could safely enter.

"Forget about them! If you don't close the door soon, those monsters will get in!" Seok Woo suddenly felt annoyed by Ling Feng, who was guarding the door. He was still trying to close the door, but as long as Ling Feng wanted, even ten people couldn't budge him.

Shang Hua and the others naturally heard the crowd shouting to close the door and knew that Ling Feng was resisting the crowd's will to buy them time. He called out to Seong Kyung, "Faster."

Seong Kyung also pushed herself to her limit, speeding up and rushing through the door. Shang Hua followed closely behind her and also rushed through the door. Seeing this, Ling Feng immediately slammed the door shut with great force, and the safety latch was also secured.

Fortunately, the door was of good quality and blocked the zombies' impact. Looking at the zombies on the other side of the door, staring at them and constantly banging on the door, Ling Feng quickly picked up a bottle of mineral water, unscrewed the cap, and splashed the water on the door.

Then he picked up a newspaper and stuck it to the door. Only after the door was completely covered with newspaper did the zombies stop banging.

Ling Feng let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, these zombies were not the kind that could smell people and know if someone was there; they only had better eyesight and hearing.

Honestly, seeing so many zombies, even with Ling Feng's preparation, his scalp tingled with fear.
