Chapter 431 In Dire Straits

Damn, how did my big door disappear out of thin air?!

A sense of unease washed over me, and a bad feeling welled up in my heart.

Could it be that the iron door that the diary repeatedly warned me not to enter was the very door that had just vanished before my eyes?

Damn it, I had already walked in!

I shook my head in annoyance, wishing I had flipped through the notebook when I first found it.

But now that I was here, regretting it was useless. I could only continue reading ez's notes, hoping to find a way to escape this place.

"I have to admit, I'm trapped. I feel something in the darkness approaching me. It's whispering to me, no, the whispering has stopped. I can feel it touching me! I have to escape immediately. I have a premonition that if I stay any longer, something terrible will happen!"

I don't know if it's my imagination, but after reading this page of the diary, I felt a cold breath on the back of my neck.

My hair stood on end, and I instinctively turned around. All I saw was a bare wall behind me, and the surrounding furniture remained unchanged, as monotonous and dull as ever.

Shit!

I temporarily put down the diary and drew the hunting knife from my waist, gently scratching the spot where the iron door had disappeared.

The walls of this room were made of some unknown type of wood. As I scraped, wood chips fell to the floor. However, the vanished iron door was still nowhere to be seen.

As I continued to scrape the wall, I soon made a hole in it, but apart from wood, there was nothing inside.

Damn, I sighed, but I didn't lose confidence in escaping. After all, I had learned to remain calm under countless perilous situations.

I sat on the floor to rest for a while, then picked up ez's diary again. If I wanted to leave this accursed place, I had to find a way from here.

"I don't know how many days it's been since I've been here. I can still feel that guy hasn't left me. Even more deadly, I made a serious mistake. I stepped into the darkness illuminated by the light, and a powerful sense of discomfort instantly flooded my body. But I don't have time to worry about it now. That guy is already very close. I actually reached out behind me to try and touch him!"

"Yes, I touched it. It was something cold and hard, something I can't describe. Its effect on me was brief, but in that moment, I felt my life plunged into despair. The next second, I started running. He kept speaking, uttering unintelligible whispers, and chasing me. I don't know where the finish line is, but I have to win this marathon. Wish me luck."

Huh?

This page of ez's diary revealed more information. It seemed that his location was not the room I was currently in.

Because if he had been here, he would have hit a wall before he could even run, and wouldn't have been able to leave.

This means that either I coincidentally entered a place very similar to what ez described, or what he described wasn't a fixed location but something that constantly changed its form.

As I was contemplating, the light from the ceiling suddenly flickered, but only for a moment, so fast it was like an illusion.

Damn it, things are getting weirder!

My expression turned serious as I got up from the floor. My sixth sense kept telling me that things were about to take a turn for the worse.

Although it was an insignificant detail that others might overlook, since arriving on this island, I had experienced countless bizarre events. And often, the most dangerous horrors began with the smallest details.

I was now standing where the iron door had been when I first entered. Although the table and single bed before me were ordinary, my extensive experience with such strange occurrences told me to avoid touching them if possible, as one never knew if they were traps or mechanisms to trigger something.

"Friends, this might be my last words. I'm running around frantically, and I don't even know if I'm going in the right direction. He keeps chasing me like he's herding me towards hell, as if I should obey his commands. I looked around and found a door, but I don't know if it's safe to go in. But at this point, I have no other way out. Fine, I'll take a gamble..."

???

Did ez escape?

I looked at the somewhat messy notes and quickly flipped to the next page.

"I have returned from hell..."
